This isn’t just about throwing up something on the web and then say goodbye and good luck!
Your website is supposed to be an asset of your business.
But, too often it’s not. That’s why I approach any website project FIRST as business clarity coaching, and then SECOND we bring that clarity to your website design.
This is why each web design package offered below includes coaching sessions. Having clarity first is that important.
Before the design process begins, there are important questions to ask:
That’s where we start the website clarity coaching process.
We need to get clear about things like:
- Your messaging
- The problem you solve and who you solve it for
- What is the primary goal of your website? What does it need to do for you?
- What are you current and future business and marketing plans? How does your website fit in?
As a business owner, you need a website, but I bet the thought of updating your current site (or creating a new one!) becomes a project that you put off. Because it feels too big, overwhelming, and it never feels like the right time to add it to your already busy schedule.
That’s why website design with me is a collaborative coaching process.
Your website:
Is not something you have to tackle alone.
Is not something you have to plan, strategize, and make happen on your own.
Is not something that has to be totally overwhelming.
IS a project we tackle together.
Before moving on, there’s ONE MORE SUPER IMPORTANT thing you need to know.
I don’t design “fancy” websites with a lot of whizbangs, motion, and animation. Why?
- It’s not as helpful as you think: From a technical, SEO, and website performance point of view. It may look cool but it’s rarely helping you unless it is used very very strategically. (I won’t bore you with the details unless you really want to know.)
- The desire for “fancy” features usually means your messaging is not clear and you hope that you can amplify with fun features and design. Sure we can add some style and design, but that needs to AMPLIFY your messaging not glamorize what’s not there.
- Handing off a website with “fancy” features often means you don’t know how do quick updates yourself. I don’t like that. You need to be able to make quick and easy changes on your own website.
